Inspired by a vintage dress in my mom's closet, I focused on keeping the vintage feel of the design, adding comfort and special details in the waist and the sleeves. For this dress, I decided to make the whole process even more meaningful and sustainable. I searched a lot of fabric warehouses for vintage leftovers and it felt like finding treasures. This ombre fabric is an old deadstock silk from the 90s. I was excited with the colours and we immediately started studying the ways that we could cut it, so that we would use its whole width. Matching this idea with my mom's dress, it was love at first sight.
